CARIBBEAN
Project Summary
Miami, Florida
Located within Miami Beach’s historic Collins Waterfront corridor, Caribbean Hotel represents a thoughtful integration of historic preservation and contemporary residential design. Originally constructed in the 1940s and recognized as a landmark within the John S. Collins Historic District, the project carefully restores the architectural character of the original structure while introducing a modern residential tower that complements the historic fabric of the site.
The design approach focused on preserving the identity and craftsmanship of the original building through the restoration of historic architectural elements, including the iconic porte-cochere entrance, terrazzo flooring, and original façade detailing. Complemented by expansive glass façades, panoramic ocean views, and modern luxury amenities, the project creates a seamless dialogue between Miami Beach’s architectural heritage and contemporary coastal living.
