ASTOR HOTEL
Project Summary
Miami Beach, Florida
The Astor Hotel is a significant example of mid‑20th‑century Art Deco hospitality, thoughtfully restored to serve today’s standards while retaining its original character. Our work preserved defining elements such as the streamlined façade geometry, the original window rhythms, and decorative plaster detailing, while updating structural systems, building envelopes, and accessibility to support modern guest experience.
The architectural plan re‑organizes interior layouts for flow and flexibility, enhancing lobby spaces, guest rooms, and amenity zones with new openings and daylight strategies. Materials like impact‑rated glazing, coastal‑grade stucco, and stainless‑steel detailing were selected to respect the historic palette while ensuring durability and performance in a coastal climate. The result is a hotel that honours its heritage and still operates as a fully contemporary hospitality destination.
