Russell Weiner, the billionaire CEO of Rockstar Energy Drink, has purchased a waterfront mansion in Miami Beach for $20 million in cash.

Douglas Elliman Director of Luxury Sales Brett Harris represented Weiner in the deal and also brokered Weiner’s previous two transactions in Miami Beach. The 9,800-square-foot mansion at 2920 N. Bay Road was sold by Goldberg and Michelle Goldberg, who were represented by David Solomon of EWM.

Harris said Weiner will move his primary residence from Delray Beach to Miami Beach. He said Weiner loved the 50,000-square-foot lot and its location.

According to Forbes, Weiner has a net worth of $3.6 billion. He founded Rockstar Energy Drink in 2002 and grew it into the third-largest energy drink brand.

Built in 2013 by the Goldbergs, the mansion has seven bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, 160 feet of water frontage on Biscayne Bay, a dock, a wine cellar, a 25-foot high ceiling over the living room, an elevator, a pool, a gym, three-car garage, a summer kitchen and a chef’s kitchen.

“We have been circling many properties and have been watching the market very closely,” Harris said. “We feel 2920 N. Bay Road came down to a price point where we felt it was at or below replacement cost. The size of this property is very unique and one of the largest on North Bay Road.”

Mark Meland, a partner with Meland Russin and Budwick, represented Weiner in the deal.

“This deal came about very quickly,” Meland said. “The transaction certainly indicates that demand for well-designed and well-built luxury homes in Miami Beach still exists.”

The home was designed by architect Kobi Karp.

“It was designed as a five-star resort, a tropical modern house with wood and stone in a traditional inspiration with hip roofs creating shaded two story verandas,” Karp said. “It has wooden columns with two story volumes in the living room and dining room, which expand the interior spaces of the home to the large bayside backyard with a large lap pool and pergolas.”
