SOUTH VENETIAN WAY RESIDENCE
Project Summary
The South Venetian Way Residence exemplifies a linear retreat, where the interplay of space is beautifully accentuated by light, water, and geometry. The architectural composition features elongated horizontal volumes, deep overhangs, and meticulously framed apertures that seamlessly integrate the tropical landscape into the living environment. In support of Stanford's glassto-glass design ethos, a refined palette of stone, wood, and smooth plaster introduces warmth and equilibrium to the sleek modern aesthetic.
The retractable walls, crafted from glass and positioned to overlook the golf course and lagoon, can be folded back or left in place with wooden slats, adapting to varying conditions. This design facilitates a fluid transition from the interior to the open, planted terraces. Simple, exposed entrance stairs lead to vertical gardens, with discrete doorways providing access to individual bedroom suites, each accessed via raked sand steps designed for each pair.
The shaded outdoor living areas extend the residence beyond its physical boundaries, fostering a sense of privacy, tranquility, and continuous flow. This residence embodies an open yet grounded experience, offering a thoughtful response to its coastal context.
