The aim of the Allison Residence is an un-stiff feeling. Elongated horizontal rooflines featuring expansive glass fronts, create a calming rhythm, while water, light, and greenery interact with the building’s solid geometry to foster tranquility in every area. Moving through the home reveals views carefully crafted by the line of sight. Inside an outside harmoniously transforms one into other, thereby creating an environment that invites people to linger longer in the moment and live more consciously, no matter what their pace of life is.

The concealed staircase, featuring open-riser floating steps, tranforms into an artistic element that balances solidity with fluidity. A palette of natural materials, including warm wood soffits, serene stone surfaces, and elegant glazing, strikes a harmonious balance between sophistication and restraint.

The broad overhangs of the house keeps the glazing and outside spaces cool and comfortably awash with light all day. Here more than a place to live is this is a retreat, where design adapts itself to its context, thereby spurring on a feeling of wellbeing which is spiritual in nature.
