Kobi Karp is the Founder and Principal of Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design(KKAID), a globally recognized, full-service design firm headquartered in Miami. Since founding the firm in 1996, Karp has served as Principal-in-Charge of Design, leading an award-winning team that delivers architecture and interior design services across a wide spectrum—from large-scale, high-rise residential and hospitality developments to intimate, low-rise commercial and boutique residential projects.

Karp earned dual degrees in Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Technology. Early in his career, he worked extensively across the United States and the Caribbean on all-inclusive resort and hospitality projects, honing a design approach that blends environmental responsiveness with elegant functionality. His preservation and restoration techniques have played a key role in the revitalization of Miami Beach’s iconic Art Deco District, contributing to its international acclaim.

With over 30 years of experience, Karp has cultivated deep expertise across diverse project types, climates, and cultural contexts—especially in tropical and coastal destinations. His work has earned international recognition, leading to long-standing partnerships with developers across the Caribbean, the Black Sea region, and the Middle East.

A licensed architect in sixteen U.S. states and in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Karp is a respected member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is widely celebrated for his visionary, award-winning designs. His leadership has positioned KKAID as a key contributor to both modern development and historic preservation, earning features in renowned national and international publications.
